Blackberry - the iconic brand logo associated with pioneering smartphones such as the new Blackberry Motion.

The New Blackberry Motion

Unlike its early iconic handset design with a keyboard, the new Blackberry Motion comes without a physical one and instead boosts a full HD screen.

Although it has already been released in the Middle East, it is set to head our way very soon.

The new handset will also have a 4,000mAh battery that the company claims will mean the user will have two days use from a single charge.

Unlike other models in its range the new Blackberry Motion will have an IP67 dust and water resistant metal casing.

This means the phone could be submersion at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes in fresh water and still work.

The phone also boasts a Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB of Ram, 32GB of internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and Android 7.1.

For extra security for the users photographs Blackberry have now created the Locker mode for its camera.

This means that those shots taken with the users fingerprint are locked in a separate safe folder that will not be backed up to cloud or any other backup account.

The release date for the Motion is 17th November.

It is expected to be sold by stores such as, Carphone Warehouse, John Lewis, Argos and also Amazon.

The price has been confirmed to be £399 and hopefully with the new no keyboard design it will likely appeal to a wider audience.

The design of the new BlackBerry Motion handset is that it has an aluminium frame with a soft finished back, and although it looks heavy it actually is quite light.

Although the phone is not as streamline and minimalist as other handsets within the same price range due to its chunky bezels at the top and bottom of the front screen.

However, the screen is made with nano-diamond coating which makes it 25% stronger than Gorilla Glass.

At the base of the handset there is a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port that supports Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0 standard.

This means the new Motion has the biggest battery in any of its other BlackBerry phones and why it holds a charge for longer.
